me

-Favorite Beverage[s]- orange juice, raspberry lemonade and chocolate milk.
You're rushing out the door and need a quick breakfast? Drink OJ. It's so good. Lemonade is good but raspberry lemonade is the way to go when you're studying in the library. And in the middle of the night, chocolate milk is delicious. Who knew?

-Favorite Food- something barbecued.
Everything is better when it's on the grill and smothered in BBQ sauce. I promise.

-Favorite Music- anything and everything.
As long as I can sing and/or dance along with it wherever I go, even in the car, I will listen to it. Nuf said.

-Favorite Movie[s]- once I have one, I'll let you know.
I love movies! And I know too many. If you give me any movie title, I will quote it. I will probably quote the whole movie word for word. It's a wonderful talent my family and I share. We usually practice at the dinner table.

-Favorite Cartoon- "Hey Arnold!" and Even Stevens
Yes. I had a crush on the Football Head just like Helga. Plus, my sister and I get a kick out of "shut up Miriam!" [our mother's name] and I know Even Stevens isn't a cartoon but oh it is just too good. It's a classic.

-Favorite Activity- anything outside.
I love sledding, snowboarding, ice skating, snowshoeing, camping, hiking, stargazing, midnight walking, fire pitting, fireworking, rollerblading, drive-in movie watching, boating, canoeing, fishing, golfing, biking, ice cream licking, snoshaq slurping, swimming, beach laying, trampoline jumping, water fighting, running, and what I will  learn this summer, longboarding

-Favorite Clothing- for me; jeans, t-shirt and flipflops or no shoes.
And for the men; please wear something clean. Wear jeans and t-shirts without the rhinestones in them and please please please do not match your Nikes or your Jordans perfectly with your shirt and pants. Thank you.

-Favorite Thing[s] in my Pockets- gum and chapstick. Always.
Chapstick, I love you. You are my lifesaver. As for gum, Winterfresh is delicious but you can never go wrong with the JuicyFruit.

-Favorite Dessert- anything chocolate.
It's sugar and it's delicious so just give it to me!

bucket list

-in no specific order-

one. Be sealed in the temple to the man I love.
two. Have four to five kids.
three. Live in Europe.
four. Visit the Sacred Grove, Jerusalem and the Carthage Jail.
five. Serve a mission with the man I love.
six. Fly an airplane.
seven. Run a marathon... maybe two.
eight. Travel around the world.
nine. Take up painting, photography and the violin.
ten. Learn how to cook.

Until that day when my life here is done and through all the stuggles it will bring, I will strive to be all that my Savior wants me to be. I will be happy and loving and enjoy life because I can.

tickets please

Life feels like a roller coaster to me. With ups and downs, loops and jerks. Some days I'm fine with my hands held high and enjoying the ride, other days are really hard and I want to get off. Today was one of those days. Tired and lonely.

Have you ever had one of those days? Where the world just seems too much at the moment. Either you are stressed, heartbroken, anxious, lonely or even a combination of things. No matter how hard you try, your life just doesn't seem to be going your way. Nothing is working. You are at a stand still, and you're watching everyone around you moving on to bigger and better, chasing their dreams. You just can't seem to get a foot out the door. Can't reach the surface. Soon you don't want to talk to anyone, make eye contact with anyone, not do anything but sit by yourself where it is safe. Yup. Today was definitely one of those days.

Until I read this:

"You have the power to transform a problem into an opportunity, take it into a different direction. Where there is anger, respond with love. Where there is envy, respond with kindness. Where there is fear, respond with nurturing. You can make a difference in someone's life, and at the same time make a difference in your own."

girls rule boys drool

Why is the male specie so lame?
Why are they so irresistible even when they feed on our loneliness?
They know they do it, so why do we let them?

I do not know. But I will say this;

All you women who are out there and reading, let us be like Eve and take over Adam. Let us females come together and take over the world!

life's lesson

The Voice
There is a voice inside of you
that whispers all day long,
"I feel that this is right for me,
I know that this is wrong."
No teacher, preacher, parent, friend or wise man can decide what's right for you-just listen to
the voice that speaks inside.

my brain hurts

A friend wrote this in my notebook the other day. Instead of paying attention in class, I spend forty-five minutes figuring out how it worked.

The below statement is false.
The above statement is true.

I had a headache for the rest of the afternoon.

Friday, February 18

one less lonely girl

Movie ticket and 3d glasses, ten dollars-fifty cents.
Number of friends with handicap pass, seven.
Time of event, ten-thirty pm.
Singing and dancing in the theatre all by ourselves, priceless.

So I did it. I actually did it. I saw Never Say Never  in 3D and what an experience it was. When he first came out, I liked him. One Time  was a catchy song and I enjoyed it very much. Only when he started to rule the world did I start to hate him. Joining all of the "We Love JB" clubs with millions of screaming, crying, having a heart attack, twelve year old girls was not my cup of tea. Until last night.

And being in the theatre all by ourselves made it that much better. [3D was a nice touch as well] Throughout the entire experience I was giddy, gushing and gleaming with happiness and love. More than I have in a very long time. Bieber was such a cutie in his movie, you have to wonder; how could you not love him? Answer; you can't.

I have a confession; I now love younger men.

So I have to thank you, Justin Bieber, for making my night. No. For making my year. You truly are a sweetheart even with that ridiculous hair flip you do. You finally made me a fan. Congratulations.

ps. "I'll be your baby."
